6'5, 241 lbs, along with 4.6ish speed.
http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings...php?pyid=10055 Any comments Michigan Dave? This guy is currently projected in the 3rd round. What say the Pats pick up Crable and Goff, then call it a day? ![]() I'm not even going to get into pick 7 right, now just want to discuss this guy and how he could potentially fit. The size and speed are definitely there. Now can he play? Obligatory Youtube clips: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mj-dMgfYgkQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MpcU6b456ig

michigan is the one team i actually watch sometimes, and i always liked crable
i never felt like he really stood out in any area of his game, but he seemed to be solid in all, and he had a knack for the big play

I know. I wish there was more out on this guy. Very little info, that's why I'm asking if anyone has seen him play and has an opinion.

He reminds me of a former Pat. Lawrence McGrew. High cut. Looks like he has a body suited for olb in 4-3. Not sure enough meat on bones to be a 3-4 lb in our system. But, McGrew was built the same way. And, we ran a 3-4 back in those days. He turned out to be a heckuva player. I like P.Wheeler -ILB - Ga Tech. They have him at 6'2" 245lb. Would love to get him at 68. Pick from Oakland.

I actually like this guy a lot. He plays the run fairly well and he can get after the QB a little. He's not the best in coverage, but he's better than a lot of others. I like his instincts, very few false steps.
IF he runs a legitimate 4.6 and he projects to keep that speed while packing on and addition 20 pounds of muscle, then I think he should have BB's attention. If the reports of BB being interested in Bradley of Nebraska last year are correct, then BB should be looking at Crable this year. If we traded down 5 to 10 spots in the first round and picked up an additional second rounder and still got Goff and Crable in the third round, my draft day would be complete. |

Last year when David Harris was finishing up his time at Michigan, Crable was considered to be a better player than Harris at that time.

Oh, he's a player. Good pass rusher, exc vs the run (2nd in the country in tackles for losses). Extremely mobile -- stronger than he looks. Solid ST player. At this time, my only doubts are his coverage skills, and the all-important intangibles.
Here's an old article I've saved: Energetic player a force for University of Michigan

Third or fourth round pick sounds about right like to let him compete.

That trophy represents the team – I mean that word collectively, that is able to play the best season for the year that it's engraved. It doesn't mean anything about what happened the year before. It doesn't say what's the best team, which has the most talented players, which teams has the biggest payroll, smallest payroll. It stands for the team that played the best in that season. Put the number on there for that year. And the next year we start all over again everybody is at the same point." |
