That's right folks, it was 30 years ago today the big one hit..!! Can't say as though I remember it, but I will say this: The Blizzard of '78 is the #1 reason why today, whenever 2-4 inches are predicted, the lines at the grocery store are about 1-2 hours...

There must have been tons of people driving Hummers back in the 70's to cause a storm like this..!!

I was out in it Obi, it was terrifying, it was like somebody throwing needles in your face, I lived in a Town House in South Easton Ma at the time I drove my car into the Middle of the Town House Parking lot and didn't see it for a week, I just made it home, all that night it sounded as though a freight train was going right through our apartment, we walked two miles to a store to get food pulling a sled, my two youngest kids were jumping out of our second floor bedroom windows.
