Default US admits waterboarding suspects

http://ukpress.google.com/article/AL...ieoSURzohU0elA

========================================
Strange that this isn't in the main streem media today...
========================================

Democrats in the US Senate have demanded a criminal investigation into so-called waterboarding by government interrogators.

It comes after the Bush administration admitted for the first time that the tactic was used on three terror suspects.

In congressional testimony, CIA director Michael Hayden became the first administration official publicly to acknowledge the agency used waterboarding on detainees following the September 11 2001 terrorist attacks.

Waterboarding involves strapping a suspect down and pouring water over his cloth-covered face to create the sensation of drowning. It has been traced back hundreds of years, to the Spanish Inquisition, and is condemned by nations around the world.

"We used it against these three detainees because of the circumstances at the time," Mr Hayden told the Senate Intelligence Committee. "There was the belief that additional catastrophic attacks against the homeland were inevitable. And we had limited knowledge about al Qaida and its workings. Those two realities have changed."

I thought it was common knowledge that WB'ing is what made Kalid Sheik Mohamed talk? I saw Brian Ross on The Factor with some lady from Human Rights Watch talking about it. Ross said nothing worked with Mohamed, who I believe asked for his lawyer when he first got pinched, and that all changed when they water boarded him. I'd like to know exactly what WB is. I've seen people try to speculate about what's involved.

I hope they waterboarded the m*therf*cker just for the fun of it... then smacked him around for sh*ts and grins too... and if you took a poll of Americans the evening of September 11, 2001, and asked if they would support the torture of that day's mastermind, you'd get about a 99.9% "yes" vote.

When you pulled that figure out of your sphincter, did it hurt?

Anyhow, where's bin Laden? Why don't these highest-level captured AQ operatives ever get a public trial? Oh, that's right. They'd talk. And we can't have that, can we?

What a sad, angry little Bunker-ite you are, Obi-Qui.
