FOXBOROUGH -- Welcome to Gillette Stadium, where the Patriots host the Chargers in the AFC Championship Game (3 p.m.).

On our drive into the stadium, it was hard to miss that one of the goal posts on the lower practice field had blown partially over. That was a reminder that the wind will be a factor today.

The current temperature is 24 degrees. According to weather.com, the winds are around 15 miles per hour, with gusting up to about 24 miles per hour. At this time, the orange flags on top of the goal posts inside Gillette Stadium are moving just slightly.

On the field, there are two AFC Championship logos -- in red, white and blue -- that have been painted on both 25-yard lines. There is also a rectangular logo that reads "Playoffs 2007" -- also in red, white and blue -- that extends from 40-yard line to 40-yard line.

Jeff Triplette is scheduled to referee today's game. The alternate referee is Tony Corrente.

We'll plan on passing along updates throughout the day.

Just before kickoff here is my prediction on how it will go.

- blitz, blitz, blitz - SD gets more sacks on Brady then we have seen in one game all year... However, they also give up three big plays (two to Moss)

- Better then most thinks - Pats Def is better then many on this board give them credit for (look at the numbers). Pats get three TOs.

- Not ready - Like the Bulls had to wait for the Celtics and Pistons Dynasty to fade, the Chargers are not ready (maybe in the next few years as they have most of their key people signed long term).
