Welcome to Gillette

FOXBOROUGH -- Welcome to Gillette Stadium, where the Patriots host the Jaguars tonight in an AFC Divisional playoff round game (8 p.m.).

It is unseasonably warm at this time, 46 degrees, and the temperature is only expected to drop into the upper 30s by kickoff. There is little wind to contend with, so conditions shouldn't be much of a factor in the kicking or passing games.

It was just four years ago that the Patriots were hosting the Titans in an AFC Divisional playoff game at Gillette. The temperature that night -- on Jan. 10, 2004 -- was 4 degrees. There were also winds whipping through at 10 miles per hour that night.

So all in all, the teams couldn't ask for better conditions tonight.

On the playing field, in addition to the Patriots logo at midfield, there is a red, white and blue playoff logo. The rectangular playoff logo is directly under the Patriots logo. It includes the official NFL symbol along with the words "2007 Playoffs".

Jerome Boger's crew has been assigned to work tonight's game.

We'll have more throughout the night.

no wind no precip = Brady making amazing throws

with weather not being a factor..you see both teams play their best and no excuses

If the weather stays the way it is at this moment; then the games already over before its even started.

I thought we wanted bad weather for the warm climate team to play in?

We would if they relied on an aerial attack but they don't. With their running attack they play more like a Steelers team.

I think all Pats fans should be on paid leave until this ride is over in February.

How can they expect me to work when I have stats to look up?

i gave my employees all playoff games off, the option to take the following day off, and the day of, before and after the superbowl off.

no..thats 1 of the most overused/irrelevant statements in NFL and Jaguars proved it when they went into Pittsburgh in regular season in the snow and beat them

just like we want pass in cold weather?

they are football players..they've played in it. its no advantage unless u play in same weather week after week and we havent

My take (and I'm sure alot of ppl agree)
Against Jax we want perfect weather. Warm & No Wind helps passing. It doesn't help or hurt running. And Jax is a better running team than we are

Likewise against SD

Against the Colts; who is also a primarily pass team; I think cold/snow/wind helps us because we're more used to the conditions; and they're used to playing in perfect climate controlled weather
