Default McFadden quiet in what might have been his Arkansas finale

Darren McFadden lunged into the end zone on fourth down, then dropped the ball and walked away slowly.

It might have been his final touchdown at Arkansas — but there was nothing to celebrate.

"We had a bad game," McFadden said. "You don't want to lose a bowl game. You only have fun when you win a bowl game."

McFadden had 105 rushing yards Tuesday in No. 25 Arkansas' 38-7 loss to No. 7 Missouri in the Cotton Bowl. McFadden, a junior, can turn pro. He said he'll talk with his family before making any announcement about his future.

Tony Temple rushed for Cotton Bowl records of 281 yards and four touchdowns as the University of Missouri beat Arkansas 38-7.

In another college football bowl game today, 18th-ranked Tennessee beat No. 16 Wisconsin 21-17 in the Outback Bowl as Volunteers quarterback Erik Ainge threw for 365 yards and two scores.

That's why I say it's stupid to draft RBs based on how they looked in college.

McFadden looked great.. but there aren't holes like that in the Pros. We'll see how he'll do, but drafting him and paying him 10M per year would be a huge mistake.

Luckily, the Pats pick is now #7, so hopefully they can get a good player at a reasonable price or trade the pick and get good players at even more reasonable prices.

Considering the teams in front of us all have more pressing needs if his stock is down a bit it may not be a bad thing.

22nd - 780
29th - 640 (If Dallas doesn't make the SB)

1420 points

7th -1500

1. Fins Brown
2. Rams Jackson
3. Falcons Dunn, Nowood
4. Raiders Vargas
5. KC Johnson
6. Jets Jones

If Jones really wants McFadden I'd gladly trade 7 for 22 and 29.

He'll never get past Al Davis. Oakland's D isn't half bad and Davis loves his big names. It would also alleviate some pressure off of Russell.

Exactly. There is no way he gets past the Raiders unless the Paiders trade back to Dallas.

I think McFadden is going pro. I do not think he should have been allowed to play today after the sports agent stuff came out.
