Default Bookies Tip Labor Win

I was checking out the link from Patters jailed children thread and here was the lead story:

So I'm wondering, if betting on our candidates was in the news at least weekly, would it affect the results? Duh Ya think?

Two thirds of the money wagered on tomorrow's federal favours a Labor win, one of Australia's biggest bookmakers has revealed.

However, 60% of punters are hoping for a Coalition comeback, according to Sportingbet Australia.

Offers of generous odds have not been enough to attract pro-Coalition bets to the Lasseters another firm of bookmakers, leaving it to only hope that Labor does not win as many seats as punters have anticipated.

And those punters have not only counted on the Prime Minister losing his seat, but have placed bets on Labor taking the seats of at least three Coalition frontbenchers too.
