here's what's fact...

- mankind has consumed just over half the world's oil in 100 years... meanwhile, the global population and demand for oil continues to explode...

- Oil has peaked on it's bell curve, and we now use 4-6 barrels for every 1 new barrel's worth found ...

- it is no coincidence the price has gone through the roof at precisely the same time as post-peak decline was predicted in the 1950s (2005-2010)... it will continue to do so... it will get worse

- shale oil and tar sands reserves are not the answer...

Don't know about gas prices but if you look at the value of the $$ vs the GPP and Euro. since 11/6 itis a very interesting correllation.

BTW who blocked all the drilling proposal of the administration the pasr 6 years??? ANd which party has been adament about not building new refineries????

You guys always have to break things down into liberal vs coservative. If you were real conservatives you wouldn't be backing this fool we have for a president. No real conservative republican could back all the spending, warring,and decline of this country fiscally. Your neo-cons,and W's your boy and there are no excuses . OWN him and what he has done instead of trying to pawn it off on someone else. Lets face it neo-cons are horrible at ruuning a country but great at blaming other people for their ineptitude

I think if you looked around the board you'd find that most Republicans here are luke warm at best to Bush. As I've said before, I voted for him in 2000 but voted (L) in 2004 so I learned in 4 years
