Welcome to Gillette
By Mike Reiss, Globe Staff
FOXBOROUGH -- Welcome to Gillette Stadium, where the Patriots host the Titans in preseason action tonight (8 p.m.).
The current temperature in Foxborough is 75 degrees, and skies are partly cloudy. There is a chance of thunderstorms.
Prior to tonight's game, the Patriots will observe a moment of silence to honory the memory of three members of the franchise who recently passed away: Marquise Hill, Darryl Stingley and Bucko Kilroy.
Jerome Boger is the referee tonight.
Twenty NFL teams are scheduled to be represented by scouts at the game. The Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League are also expected to have a scout in attendance.
We'll plan on passing along updates along the way.

We’re here at Gillette Stadium, where a group of youth cheerleaders just cleared the field, and everything got real quiet.
The temperature’s 75 degrees here, and the game time conditions are forecast by the Weather Channel to be 71 degrees with isolated thunderstorms.
Before tonight’s game, the Patriots will honored the memory of Marquise Hill, Darryl Stingley and Bucko Kilroy with a moment of silence. After the national anthem is performed, by country musician Rissi Palmer, the press box will observe another moment of silence, this one for deceased Hartford Courant writer Alan Greenberg.
We had a post yesterday regarding Greenberg, and unfortunately it got buried under the news of Ty Warren’s signing. So here’s the link (http://www.bostonherald.com/blogs/patriots/?p=1435).
We'll be back at you soon.

WR Troy Brown doing what looks like a set of ladders — sprints ascending and descending in distance — out on the field with a trainer right now. So maybe there’s hope that he will come off the PUP before season’s open after all.

Troy sighting
By Mike Reiss, Globe Staff
Receiver Troy Brown, who remains on the team's physically unable to perform list, is running sprints on the field. He's in his workout gear and is covering as many as 80 yards with his sprints. Each sprint is a bit shorter than the one before.
He's being clocked by assistant athletic trainer and director of rehabilitation Joe Van Allen.

Can we get 2 restraining orders to keep Kevin the dirtiest player in the league Mawae and Bullock to stay the hell away from our players.
I'll just say this one more time he wants to talk about cheap shotting players like Reche, well who is on the cover of Madden?
That's all I'm saying Pierre woods might come thru and lay some wood and unintentionally something could happen.

The team today announced that Vinny Testeverde has officially joined the team. He is expected to play in the 4th quarter once the Patriots have safely secured the game and can be expected to complete a touchdown pass right in front of a helpless and impotent Keith Bulluck.
We'll plan on passing along updates along the way.
Posted By: mreiss | Time: 07:30:18 PM
Well that should be interesting. Seeing as Keith Bullock couldn't stop a 43 year old QB from completing a TD pass last year I wonder if he'll have any better luck stopping a 44 year old either.
Of course, it will be the Patriots fault, but that shouldn't surprise anyone.

For a team with a lot of weapons on offense, I just hope we actually have an Oline that can pass and run block consistently for them by the time the bell rings.
Stallworth slipped or hopefully he would have done more like at least break up the INT. He was flat footed and the DB was the only one that went up for the ball.
There, Tom makes up for it all by himself.

Oh, I know all that. But given the foul weather here at Gillette and the overall nastiness between the two teams, AND the fact that Cassel was seriously warming on the sidelines, it made me think they were going to yank him a little early.
