Been hearing this on WEEI this morning, they're expected to announce this sometime soon. Not what I was looking for. He was fired from New Jersey last year a few games before the playoffs started. WEEI had a Jersey hockey announcer on earlier who was talking about Julien. He sounded exactly like Dave Lewis, too nice, easygoing, etc. Why couldn't they have hired someone that would give this team some toughness, like Milbury or Pat Burns? I'll give Julien a chance next year, but I can't say I think it was a good pick.

1. Jacobs had nothing to do with the hire. Don't you think he would have rather kept Lewis, instead of paying two guys as head coach this year?

2. A large part of the reason Julien was fired from the Devils is because he wasn't a "yes" man.
