After spending lunch break perusing PatsFans in hopes that BB had found a way to morpf Caldwell and Gaffney into one person, a Gaffwell or Caldney, I fired up the CD "DIO Anthology" to get some work done. Not only is R.J.D. one of the best Big Hair Rockers that's still able to preform like he did in the 80s, he's also a prophet. Some of the lyrics in "The Last In Line" had this Patriot's season nailed. It kind of freaked me out. He wrote the song in 84.
Two eyes from the east It's the angel or the beast And the answer lies between The good and bad We search for the truth We could die upon the tooth But the thrill of just the chase Is worth the pain We'll know for the first time If we're evil or divine We're the last in line We're the last in line Here's the song's full lyrics: http://www.lyricsdomain.com/4/dio/the_last_in_line.html Here's the song: http://mopeder.vox.com/library/audio...dab716a47.html |

First off....who the hell is Dio?
Second, what on earth do those lyrics have to do with this team? Seems like an awfully big reach. Kind of like when I found out that William Carlos Williams poem "red wheelbarrow" was supposed to be about communism. Pure gibberish.

I just saw Dio and his Black Sabbath bandmates at Tsongas Arena on may 17th. The man still has the voice. Just a true Rock God extraordinaire. Who the hell indeed... That being said, I didn't get the correlation. Dio has often said that he writes songs while watching sports on TV, but you'd never know it from the end result.

RJD is truly extraordinary. I just saw Sabbath at the Broomfield Events Center for the Heaven & Hell Tour. All I can say is that one one of the best, tightest rock shows I have ever seen. Dio's voice is still amazing. Tony is one of the most underrated guitarist around and Geezer Butler can play the bass just as good and anyone to pick it up.
I have been rocking out Sabbath/Dio ever since the show. You still might be able to get Rhino's limited edition live CD from one of their shows back in the day. Just released with the tour for this year. Only 5000 copies. Check out Rhino's website for more info.

![]() There's some bootlegs on youtube, Dio looks his age but doesn't sound his age.

Dio has one of, if not the, best voices in heavy metal ever.
