Default "I will eat my hat if the Pats select (fill in the blank)."

Who will we definitely NOT pick (out of only guys projected to go in the 1st round)? For me it would be Dwayne Jarrett. In the BB/Pioli era we have never drafted a "possession WR" to use the polite term. They have to time well at the combine (Branch, Johnson, Jackson). Jarrett arrogantly skipped the entire event. There have been questions over Jarrett's work ethic. According to the workout thread, Jarrett hasn't interviewed or worked out for us. I would literally fall out of my seat in a state of shock if we choose him. I'm not saying Jarrett can't find an environment where he could flourish, it's just that IMO, it's not going to be here.

Anybody else?

Some hats can be quite tasty.....

No Seriously - I say Greg Olsen -(Enough early round Tight Ends for the decade) or Dwayne Bowe (Would be surprised if he was picked-don't care for him much)

The Bengals drafted him before we could.

Not sure about Olsen and Ginn Jr. BB lovesss TE's. Olsen doesn't quite have the toxic personality of his Hurricane TE predecessors. As for Ginn Jr., although some question his route running, the speed and intangibles are there. I see us more likley to grab Olsen out of the two because both positions aren't weak areas on the team and he'd choose a TE over a WR.

...any WR, any TE, any DL, and Meriweather.

I agree. I would also prefer NOT drafting any WR or TE early at all. I might only be OK with Meachem, but still, prefer defense early.

Yeah, but what do you do with him? We got Watson, Brady, Thomas, and possibly even Mills fighting for a spot somewhere. Watson is obviously the man. Brady just got signed to replace Graham's blocking and is a nice 280 pounds or so. Thomas showed some flashes last year and is only getting better. No way I see a TE.
