"300" -- the movie

Saw "300" last night in Imax and felt it was a visually stunning piece of work. The acting was excellent as well. Plot/storyline were good, not great. But, man, it was truly remarkable to look at.

Looks like something in the vein of the gladiator... which I love. I will have 2 watch it.

It's an incredible story, the suicidal defence at Thermopylae. But what the film-makers have made of it I'd really be intrigued to see given your comment about plot and storyline.

"The 300 Spartans" made in 1962 was always a favorite of mine......not only for the action but for the silly dialogue.

Haven't seen this version yet....waiting for it to be on my hotel PPV or an airline.

You're cheating yourself of a unique cinematic experience if you don't see this one on the big screen. It's pretty amazing.

That's too true. I'd love to see it in Imax.........

Watching "The Wizard of Oz" and "Emmanuel" in college on a large screen with students hissing/booing/whistling was perhaps the best cinematic experience I ever had.

It's a question of time/timing for me.
