Who exactly are we fighting now that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed has been captured?

Why doesn't this administration do the smart thing. Declare victory, and send the troops home?

I think this guy would confess to kidnapping the Easter Bunny after being in Gitmo for 5 years. I'm sure he's a vile human being but didn't do half the things he's confessing to.

Not to speak for him but you are better than that to. You really think they've quit planning for more attacks just because he was captured and confessed? I have a bad feeling they're trying to come up with a doozie going into the election. They want to effect the outcome. I hope I'm wrong.

I don't think they're that powerful. The fact that they couldn't muster anything here even in the days immediately after 9/11 shows that. If they want to affect the election, they would probably prefer a continuation of the current policy that has create a rallying cry for them and has helped them recruit, by some estimates, thousands of new members. After all, what better recruiting vehicle can Al Qaeda ask for than to have the infidels destroy a Shiite nation?
