I think Nifong will end up in prison. This case in an unbelievable miscarriage of justice. I guess if Nifong accomplished anything, he made the right wing more aware of failures in our legal system. These failures are certainly not limited to Nifong. See for instance: http://www.law.northwestern.edu/dept...ons/States.htm)
http://www.newsobserver.com/1185/story/521773.html Head of DNA lab says he and Nifong agreed not to report results The head of a private DNA laboratory said under oath today that he and District Attorney Mike Nifong agreed not to report DNA results favorable to Duke lacrosse players charged with rape. Brian Meehan, director of DNA Security of Burlington, said his lab found DNA from unidentified men in the underwear, pubic hair and rectum of the woman who said she was gang-raped at a lacrosse party in March. Nurses at Duke Hospital collected the samples a few hours after the alleged assault. Meehan said the DNA did not come from Reade Seligmann, David Evans, or Collin Finnerty, who have been charged with rape and sexual assault in the case. Meehan struggled to say why he didn’t include the favorable evidence in a report dated May 12, almost a month after Seligmann and Finnerty had been indicted. He cited concerns about the privacy of the lacrosse players, his discussions at several meetings with Nifong, and the fact that he didn’t know whose DNA it was. Under questioning by Jim Cooney, a defense attorney for Seligmann, Meehan admitted that his report violated his laboratory’s standards by not reporting results of all tests. |

What a mess this is turning out to be, now a NC congressman wants the Justice Dept committed prosecutorial misconduct, Wilfong better have a pretty great case, but don't see it.
http://www.heraldsun.com/durham/4-798855.cfm DURHAM -- A North Carolina congressman wants the U.S. Justice Department to investigate whether Durham District Attorney Mike Nifong committed "prosecutorial misconduct" and violated the civil rights of the three Duke lacrosse players accused of raping a dancer at an off-campus party last March. Third District U.S. Rep. Walter B. Jones, R-N.C.,3rd, sent athe letter Thursday to U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, saying he acted in response to "serious questions" raised in recent months by constituents and the media about the dancer's allegations and Nifong's handling of the case. Repeated efforts to contact Nifong for comment on Jones' letter were unsuccessful Tuesday. Jones specificially citedmentionedathe Oct. 15 "60 Minutes" broadcast on Oct. 15. , which capped a six-month investigation. He said the CBS program's "60 Minutes" findings touched two "troubling" issues that appear to be "blatant examples" of improper conduct by the district attorney:

The accuser is pregnant and conceived around the time of the alleged incident. Paternity tests have been ordered. Why do I feel the same guilt as if I had been caught watching Springer?

Springer ends after 30 or 60 minutes, this just keeps going on, and on, and on... there does not look like there will be a good ending.

more info on the malfeasance of Wilfong, looks like he is a nut job and the state of Kentucky will be paying out big bucks to the falsely accused:

Did Nifong and his investigators know the results of all the DNA tests? Cooney asked. “I believe so,” Meehan said.

The Prosecuter:
He thought he was going to be a "Big Hero" among the the Left Wing Politically Correct Media and all the "Liberal C-cktail Partys", he had visions of Jessie Jackoff grinning and slapping him on the back, he would go on the Chris Matthews show and Chris would be Yelling and Drooling and telling him what a wonderful thing he did, Alan Colmes and Al Sharpton would kiss each other on the mouth while Sean Hannity hung his head, then he thought, "why by God, they may even make a movie about this, I'll be rich". Yes this "Phony" thought he was going to hang these rich white kids, well the chickens have come home to roost. ![]()

What a joke. The only thing that will save this clown is if the strippers kids DNA matches one of the players. Imagine if that happened!
Anyhow, assuming these kids are innocent, do all of you now see how biased the media was in originally reporting this story? They crucified these kids and basically stamped a guilty verdict on them from the start. Why is there such a rush to judgement? Outlets and pundits need to be more responsible when reporting these incidents.
