Someone told me that Ben Vereen is the iligitement(sp?) father of R&B singer/actor/broadway star Usher. Not sure if it is true or not, but the pic makes you wonder.

That's very interesting - frankly I'm more familiar with Ben Vareen than Usher - but did a quick google search and found that Vareen is Usher's GODFATHER

then it gets interesting - various blogs state that he knew Usher's Mom and that's why she made him Godfather.

That Ben was married at the time and had a daughter about the same age - and according to one blog Ben inexplicably went ballistic when he found out his daughter and usher were dating when they were around 16/17

Hmmmm.

There's no way someone can keep that a secret for too long - and as you point out, the resemblance is striking!
