Buffalo conditions
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Welcome to Ralph Wilson Stadium, where the Patriots visit the Bills today (1 p.m. ET). The current temperature is 49 degrees, the skies are gray, it's windy, and it's spitting rain.
The referee for today's game is Jeff Triplette.
More to come throughout the day.

Is it my imagination or have we had Jeff Triplette on our menu an awful lot?
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't he handle the Pats Denver playoff loss last year (for which he should be drawn and quartered) and at least one Pats game already this year?
I'm assuming there are at least 16 head referees in the NFL. Just strange we get the same one for 3 of our last 6 games.

Funny how just two weeks ago we were at Foxboro in warm shorts and t-shirt weather.

Mo, remember Schobel is one of the hot pass rushers in the league. We know Light has trouble with speed rushers, I'll have to wait until I can look at tape to see what help they are giving him.
I've felt for years now that Light would be better off at right tackle.
That's on Josh McDaniels. What a stupid call. That's just an absolute joke. Is that his idea of being "creative"? Here's an idea, how about throwing the ball downfield?
You think other defenses are so stupid as to not know there is a very good chance that a reverse might be coming when Chad Jackson is on the field? Argh, pathetic.
mcdaniels is so predictable on 2nd and 3rd downs....the hitch pass, the reverse...how about running the ball ?

Matt Light is getting absolutely embarassed. We're up 14-3, so yeah it's not a big deal, but it's still embarassing for him. McDaniels should call 3 straight rushes off left tackle, so Light can attack Schoebel and maybe rough him up a bit. At the rate Light is getting destroyed play after play, I don't feel good about Brady's health from the backside.

Agreed on the 'quit the reverses and run the ball' comment. Though this was something Weis would do as well---try to be cute too early in the game.
Stop being cute---power running game on most 1st and 2nd downs, with the occasional play action and screen mixed in.
I always admired the Steelers for sticking with the run game and smashmouth football. Ever since the Weis days, we get into these elaborate gadget plays when we should be running the ball. So by the end of the game, we are beat up, instead of the other team's defense. Then when we try to run the ball, we haven't yet wore down the other team enough to be effective.
Or we just don't run it even when it is working.......
matt light is who he is...the play calling needs to protect his players...you think weis would keep doing what mcdaniels is doing ?
