I voted for Katrina. Why? Cuz you asked which one WILL be more coslty. Katrina had $110 Billion approved, with more along the way. Katrina is in year one, and has shown little progress. Also, with the welfare history of NO, KAtrina will single handedly make the entire state of LA a lifetime welfare line. In conclusion, we could pull out of Iraq in 2008, 5 years, probably $500-600 Billion (guesstimates), while we'll be paying for Katrina welfare long after we die.

This post says it all as far "Money" goes, If I had posted this I would have been dragged all throught the "racist sh!t" and "stereotype sh!t" for it.

Well Star Wars is what convinced Gorby that the SU couldn't win the Cold War, this lead to Glasnost (SP?) and the collapse of the Solviet Union, currently the technology is being developed to protect us from Nuts with nukes, so IMO that was money well spent. Latest tests have been successful BTW.

Brown makes some good points though. Star Wars was a gigantic money sucker. I see where you're going with the latest tests. They have some potential. I guess if the program does work in time to protect us from a North Korean, or Iranian missle I'd be happy. Also, Patsfan is right about it pushing Gorby to end the Cold War. Ultiamtely it was our spending that did the communist economy in. Simply put, the capitalist revenue machine could absord the deficits for a longer period than a communist economy.
