How anyone could be a 5 term Congressman and not know that the Tamil Tigers are a terrorist organization is absolutely incredible!

I know it isn't fashionable to do this, given that I am politically opposite you, but it is deplorable that he did this. The Tigers are murdering scum. It speaks volumes about politics that he didn't bother to do any research. He should seriously consider his position. In the UK, he would have resigned by now. Had he gone on a fact finding mission, funded independently, that would be acceptable. After all, there are two sides to every story and Sri Lanka is no exception in this.

FWIW, I think that the world would be a much better place if we all criticised our "own" politicians more, rather than saying "yeah, well, the Reps do the same". Sticking by a party, regardless, gives them power, not the voter.
