I mostly read on this board but I decided to post. I hope I won't get banned for posting a link to another Pats site, but I thought that I would share some photos with you guys that I took at camp. I figured you would be interested.

Thanks for the pics. This one is VERY interesting. Take a look at the rookie NT (65) Le Kevan Smith. He's drawing the double-team and seems to be holding his own. Very encouraging!!!

Yeah, but usually the NT should be away from the action, keeping two blockers in check. You can see that the hole was designed because somebody got through and Maroney's back is to us because of it. JMHO

the rook seems pretty stout. I'm pretty sure hearing last year how Wilfork was not staying in position and was going after the QB.

but no1 really there besides the guy Maroney picked up..as a NT you also wanna get in the QBs face and force him to throw over you

Well.... it all kind of depends of what play was being called. Its impossible to really determine without a doubt apart from that. Since we play a 2-gap defense the vast majority of the time the big guys (like Ted Washington) were involved in keeping 2 guys in check so that the LB could make the play. It is just an assumption on my part, a big assumption I know, that that was what the rooks job was. There are lot of experts (and debate!) on the MB who can break down the 2-gap and even posted some diagrams....

That's Eric Alexander (49) in coverage. He looks like a safety. Did he change numbers???

It looks like O'Callagan (68) has has Hill (91) in check.
