OK so this guy bought all Bill Graham's stuff, turns out he recorded everything , Fillmore East, West shows around the Bay area. Posters all kinds of stuff.

Too bad there's not downloads there... for anyone interested in all kinds of free legal, live downloadable music, be sure to check out the Live Music archives at www.archive.org

http://www.archive.org/details/etree

I've not bought a CD in 4 years and still haven't scratched the surface

Although the Dead recently changed their download policy on soundboard recordings (http://www.archive.org/details/GratefulDead) there's still some good ones available at Nugs.net, along with a great selection of other classic jambands

http://stash.nugs.net/stash.asp

Again, all free, all legal, all downloadable

There's a lot in all of those links - lots to go through

A few of my recommended listening by some of the better bands you might not know are:

String Cheese Incident - a blend of jamband, jazz, and bluegrass (on both nugs and archive)

The Radiators (archive.org and nugs.net) - classic New Orleans funk rock - and they are playing at the Ocean Mist in Matunuck later this month

Mr. Blotto (archive.org) - Chicago's best jamband - great originals but there's hardly a cover from the 70s these guys don't play, and there's lots of great soundboard shows for downloading

Just heard an amazing version of "I Know You Rider" (1971) and we've moved on to an Incredible String Band track I don't think I've ever heard before ("Worlds They Rise and Fall", 1968).

Absolutely fantastic! The years fall away -- I can't thank you enough!

That's a band I you've recommended before that I need to check out... unfortunately it doesn't seem like there's all that much live and downloadable on the internet
