richpats is an unknown quantity at this point
Default 'Eight Below' - a great flick!!!

I don't know if anyone's heard of this movie yet but I caught a sneak preview last weekend and this is one fine film. Basic plotline is that Paul Walker plays an expedition leader who has to abandon his sled dogs in Antarctica for FIVE MONTHS before finally finding a way back to rescue them. Based on a true story too.

This may sound like typical Disney fluff, but I think this is a great flick for families and dog-owners (or anybody who has a bond with their pets). Walker puts in a convincing performance too.

I'm a 26-year old guy who has a puppy (Rottweiler), and I have to admit I was fighting tears for a good deal of the film. Highly recommended!

Thanks, I'll definitely catch that when it comes out on video.
