Not sure about where he stands in the Republican Continuum, but has great name recognition and seems to be a wholesome guy. Wish him luck, just because he is Republican does not equate with being evil.

In American elections, name recognition = easy victory. Swann in a landslide.

I thinks its funny in a sickening way how the "real" politicians have used and abused the public media to promote themselves and hide behind fake issues only to find themselves being the victims of the same media hype they created. LMFAO!

I do know that Lynn Swann, giving a speech last year before the Black America's Political Action Committee, described himself as a "Christian, pro-life, who believes in the right to bear arms."

Are you against anyone registered as a Republican? Have you ever voted for even one Republican?

He is black, of course NEM would never vote for him. White liberal elitists only, like Kerry, Clinton, Edwards, Pelosi, Reid and others.

Well, that honestly surprises me, but I can understand how an ex-Republican would be disillusioned now.

Right, doesn't everyone know the GOP is the "party of the minority"?

...provided you consider rich white males a minority.

It would be interesting to see how Republican Swann can do against Democrat Ed Rendell. That is, assuming Swann survives the Republican primary.

We must also not forget Republican Rick Santorium is also on the ballot.

Remember, Pennsylvania had voted: Clinton, Clinton, Gore, and Kerry.

Would be very interesting to see how the 2006 mid-term election shapes up.
