Miami starts it off with a illegal procedure.
Brady leads the troops out, including Faulk at RB.

MoLewisrocks
01-01-2006, 12:03 PM
Givens........get your head out of your ass. Brady was running that hurry up like a maestro and Givens delivers a pick. That inconsistency is what makes our 2 top receivers not elite, and why BB will probably be looking for that #1 again.

3 and out. Very nice.
pats1
01-01-2006, 12:08 PM
They need to have Pass in on 1st and 2nd downs. Let him pound it through. Faulk is a disaster as an every-downer. He'll work only when the run is unexpected and he can scoot around some DBs, or, out of the backfield catching it.
MoLewisrocks
01-01-2006, 12:11 PM
So far that's 4 on the hands, 3 dropped and 1 tipped for an INT. I guess it's contageous. Inconsistency has been the problem on offense all season. These aren't tough catches either. Really ticks me off.

Roughing the passer, helmet into the chest, Ty Warren
Dolphins at the NE 35...
pats1
01-01-2006, 12:17 PM
Ricky pounds it in.
Don't forget the 49ers scored first in that final game of 2004, too.
And these Dolphins are much better than last year's 49ers.
MoLewisrocks
01-01-2006, 12:17 PM
They should have had Miami on the ropes already and instead they let them hang around and build a rhythm. Now they are going to add to it with mistakes. This is not the game BB wanted to see them play today. The crappy play by our receivers is trickling down to the D. CRAP.

There's been 2 bad WR plays. Brady looks worse. He's throwing them high, throwing them low, throwing them too long, throwing them too short. Barely any pressure to force it.

While agreeing that Givens' concentration is for crap today - not to mention Branch's - but we were in max protect and Givens was being double-teamed. The O-line is actually looking solid today, banging Traylor around.
Hopefully the Miami score will embarrass some of our ho-hum boys - or BB could be setting the team up to be embarrassed........they get very chippy when that happens.

Exactly. Brady threw that one high BECAUSE HE HAD TO TO CLEAR 2 DEFENDERS. It's Branch's job to go up for that ball, catch it, and get down in bounds.

I believe if he comes in before the 4th quarter, no other QB can come in thereafter unless the emergency QB is injured (or maybe not at all until the 4th quarter). After the 4th quarter, it no longer matters, I think. Pretty sure that 3rd QBs can do things other than quarterback though (i.e. hold for kicks), just as long as they're not under center.
