Default The attacks on this board

Let's address it.
Almost every post that's started by any fan just looking to have a discussion with other fans ends up with the poster being attacked.
People on this board are constantly looking for threads where they can find a reason to call the poster an idiot.
Whether they disagree with the poster's opinion, don't like when he posted it, or don't like the subject, they're going to find a way to bash the poster.

You'd think that everyone here was a fan of a different team.

It's always sarcasm, insults, and posts that contribute nothing to the subject of the thread other than bashing the poster.

I don't know if some of you get some self-confidence out of it or are looking for some respect on the internet, but what's the purpose?

We're all fans of the same team, which is sitting on top of the NFL right now. Why are we insulting each other?

If you don't like a post, someone's opinion, or anything like that, why don't you just ignore it instead of insulting the poster?

And of course, bring on the sarcastic insults now.

I support this thread. I'm fairly active on another football forum where it is against the rules even to talk about other posters in negative ways. You can attack their ideas, attack their opinions, but the line is drawn when someone starts attacking the poster.

And I have like 15 people on my ignore list. It's a great function. I recommend people use it.

I've never been attacked. But then again, I try to be careful about the topics I choose to start, while staying away from self-serving lectures to others because my feelings got hurt earlier.

Thick skin...it comes with experience.

“On a day when they could have had impact players David Terrell or Koren Robinson..they took Georgia defensive tackle Richard Seymour, who had 1 sacks last season in the pass-happy SEC and is too tall to play tackle at 6-6 and too slow to play defensive end. This genius move was followed by trading out of a spot where they could have gotten the last decent receiver in Robert Ferguson and settled for tackle Matt Light, who will not help any time soon.”

There are definitely a bunch of angry people on this board. It is perplexing.

I would like to call out IcyPatriot on both my thread and fencer's thread.

Personal insults against other posters are against the rules here, too. Patterns of ad hominem attacks can and do lead to infractions and suspensions. I've deleted a ton of garbage today, but there's just too much volume on game days to catch everything.
