Default The D

Hey guys, since I have been correct on pretty much all of my claims since I started posting here, I must use this time to talk a bit about the defense.

I believe that the patriots will have a top D in the NFL next year. However, we must at look at cutting some dead weight from the team. Vrabel, Bru and Seymour must go. Seymour should stay if he will redo his contract, but if he cannot take a pay cut he should be cut. Harrison is another guy who should be cut. I think we had a great draft last year, and if we work free agency correctly, and BB makes some solid picks this year, we will be in the running for a title next year.

My claims:

Jackson = Bust - true

Maroney = Glass - true

Defense = cost is games/not very good - true

Vrabel, Bru, Ted = past prime - true

Sey = overrated - true

Patsfan mods = biased unfair - true

Do you look at yourself in the mirror everyday and practice the Stuart Smiley routine?

I must apologize. Your opening phrase caused me to laugh so hard my eyes teared up and I just couldn't read the rest.

As you lack the mental capacity to distinguish opinion from fact, it should come as no surprise that you agree with your own opinions. If you disagreed with your own opinions, you would be certifiably insane rather than woefully uninformed.

Really? Are you saying Jackson was not a bust, Maroney is not made from glass, and the d has not cost us games?

YOU'RE WRONG

Thumbs down Re: The D

I agree about Vrabel and Bruschi but more Vrabel than Bruschi.

Remember when Vrabel made so many big plays including last year, this year he has done nothing. Bruschi is still solid if unspectacular, he holds his ground and thats what he is asked to do. Vrabel is asked to do a lot more and has failed miserably on all counts.

Your way off on Seymour though, he has done well this year.

And your wrong about the D costing us the game unless you blame Meriweather on the 3rd and 15 for tackling like a girl.

Special teams was AWFUL and cost us thursday nights game. Washington AVERAGED 44 yards per kickoff return, Seely needs to go.

Lets not forget Watson's fumble, Koppens bad snap, Gaffneys drop, and Cassel missing a wide open Moss for a TD. Just a mistake riddled 3rd quarter on offense.

Another loss that should of been a win. 8-2 is now 6-4. Awful.

Pretty much?? Riiiiight. How about all of your trashing about Cassell, from the summer when you could not understand why BB would think of keeping him, right on through the season. Or does that not count??

Re: Jackson, Cassel, Hobson survive first cutdown
I can understand Hobson and Jackson ( even though Jackson is a bust).....but Cassel? In this one instance, I can say that Belichick is not doing what is best for the team, because of the time invested in the player. Cassel is horrible, and should be cut to make room for someone who will do something for this team.
