Default Hate to say it guys.....

But I think the Belichick era here is quickly coming to an end.....He CONSISTENTLY gets outcoached in the big games and has won NOTHING since 2004. Now I know that we are all spoiled here (I know that I have been)....but since Romeo Crennel and Charlie Weis left....BB has won NOTHING!!! He continues to drag out a defense that has NO PASS RUSH and NO SECONDARY....year after year after year.....

Now let's turn to Tom Brady. Obviously we all know, one of the greatest QB's of all time. But, again, his run at SB success ended in 2004. He seems to tighten up or Wilt in the big games. The Clutch factor has left the building since 2004 as far as winning the BIG games is concerned. Tom Brady unfortuneatly has seen his last SB in New England. Someone mentioned that Tom has become Peyton Manning since 04......Great stats during the regular season...but turns to jello when the postseason comes.

Tonight, the defense came out swinging.....until Talib went down. Then I think everyone on the squad knew they were done with Arrington (AKA Sack of sh#t) coming in there....and they gave up. They also realized that the offense AND BRADY once again...was NOT GOING TO GET IT DONE!!! The team used to thrive and energize on Brady's magic and Aura....they knew that he was going to ALWAYS keep them in it....or COME from behind to win it. This team today KNEW he didn't have it....and after seeing what he and the O did after the 2nd quarter...realized he was not going to get it done.

BB has consistently hamstrung this offense with MARGINAL/Average WR's. Welker is our #1 WR in NE....Wes Welker. We haven't had a deep threat in FIVE+ Years!!!!! Donte Stallworth this year....was the first one to really stretch the field in I don't know how long. Welker has been phenomenal in his career here.....absolutely incredible. One of the toughest SOB's to ever play here. He has made catches and taken hits that I don't think any other human being can take. But they have taken their toll....and now quite frequently....he hears footsteps....he is bracing for the big hit (that often times never comes because he is so damned open)....before he even catches the ball....and his dropsies at the most critical times...are what most people remember him for nowadays. Unfortuneatly.....it is probably time to trade him as he is like Brady.....INCREDIBLE during the regular season........can not get it done CONSISTENTLY in the big games anymore.

This team needs a new direction IMHO.....BB has gone by the same failed recipe since 2004. He is GREAT if all you want to do is MAKE it to the playoffs, or get to the SB....but if you want to #(%$# WIN ONE....he is NOT your guy anymore. He keeps making the same mistakes and poor judgements....over and over and over......like the movie Groundhog Day.

I'll admit that I, like many of you are spoiled. We got EVERYTHING we ever wanted as Pats fans in 4 years! It was incredible!!! Since then it has been one painful (especially 07) experience OVER AND OVER...and over again. Again, great to be able to have a team that gets to the Playoffs nearly every year.....it really is great. Great to have a team get in the SB 2 years out of the last 5.......incredible. But it is terribly PAINFUL to see this team continue to come out with the same formula and gameplan in the Playoffs/SB"s over and over again.....play conservative.....play flat emotionally.....play tight etc....year after year.

Lastly to Gronk......will he EVER make it to the postseason where he can actually help this team out. For a 6 ft 6 Physical specimin with INCREDIBLE talent.....he has shown that he has trouble staying on the field WHEN IT COUNTS! Perhaps it is just plain bad luck....and maybe he will actually be there one year (perhaps many years from now) when we get back to the big dance and be able to help the team.....Hopefully some day he can contribute in the postseason when it really counts and when they REALLY need him.

Sorry to vent here guys.....really bummed out right now. Flame away...

Shut up. We're all disappointed. Fact is, we are in this position damn near every year. No other team can really say the same. So shut up.

We can only go so far when our TOP PLAYERS are INJURED at the most important times of the year.

It's truly the furthest thing from an excuse when I say this team has been nothing but unlucky.

Yeah, after we get rid of our HOF coach, I'm sure Jim Caldwell or those of his ilk will be lined up to come here and GET IT DONE.

Let's get real. We're not gonna win another Super Bowl in the Brady/Belichick era until someone else on offense takes over, whether its Ridley/Vereen, or the defense becomes lights out. Brady has been the best QB or Top 3 in the league for most of the past 8 years, except that year he was injured, and we haven't won anything. There's very little else Brady can do, except man up in the playoffs.

This team hasn't had that swagger since the likes of Rodney Harrison & Co. Brady got a lot of credit for winning those 3 SB's, but I'm just now fully realizing that he was the beneficiary of a D with both nuts and a chip on it's shoulder. Any defense since then is vanilla and that doesn't cut it.

29 other teams feel the same way right now.

Truth is in order to win the Superbowl, you need to be Lucky and Good, You can say that by losing Gronkowski and Talib in the postseason, they were clearly lacking Luck.

I will say this however, being held to 13 points as the highest scoring offense in your own building is indicative of not only terrible execution, but gameplanning as well.

The 28 points which Baltimore scored can be explained by Talib being injured, however scoring only 13, all of which in the first half is just pathetic, especially against a team who you know so well.

Not gonna flame, but just say "I disagree." When we're having trouble making the playoffs every year, then I'll start to question it.

The team has shown ability to change, almost re-invent itself, depending on strengths and compete every year. Most definately, this ability starts with the coaches.

This loss wasn't really on just Brady, nor was it on BB.

The WHOLE team just did not execute. They played with no fire and we just did have enough downfield options. The better team won... As much as it sucks to say, it's the truth.
