Default Tags - Can We Restrict Editing Tags?

Can we restrict editing tags to members only ... perhaps they can be traced?

Apply the same posting rules to the tags and start banning people for disrespecting the site by using the tags?

Some of them are funny and silly ... but then some of them are downright wrong and vulgar.

Just asking ... it's kind of rude that our board is very excellently moderated by our mods and some moron can bypass it by using the tags.

Okay ... rant over ... carry on.

I hope you don't mind, but I added some tags of my own to this thread.

According to Ian, the forum software only can restrict tagging to registered users. He is looking for an add-on that will allow him to block certain users from tagging, but it looks like there isn't one out there.

Certainly then he knows who puts them there ... right?

Some people getting banned would be a great tool for their proper use.

Prior to now, no, that's not available. However I'm adding a mod that will track who adds what tags to what threads. I'll catch whoever is doing it...and when I do they won't be around anymore

In the meantime they're turned off for now. Otherwise whoever is doing it I'll give you amnesty by coming clean via PM. However when I catch you and you haven't 'fessed up, your account will be suspended
