Default The 2000 QB class?

Other then Pennington and Bulger who was drafted (other then Brady at 299) that was notable? Not only that, but was this the only class in history that had only one QB drafted in the 1st round? And it was Pennington? Granted we ended up taking Klem but,,, The Jet's took Pennington? I think you see where I'm going with this. That was a week freakin class. LOL!!!! Look at it. Thank god we got Brady out of that shiat storm.

Shoot after starting this thread I just noticed Vick was the only QB picked in the 1st rd the following year!! LOL! Breese was the 1st pick in the second. That's almost as bad. But not.

<<<Thats Brady @ 199, hence the name<<<

The only draft with one qb in the first round? Where did you get that info before looking only one year ahead to find out you were wrong? And what does any of that have to do with Brady? Also if Pennington didn't have all the injuries (and even with them) he was worth a mid to late first round pick.
ctpatsfan77 and Criptonite like this.

One or two years prior to that draft, the only QB taken in 1st round was Jim Druckenmiller, and the only one serviceable was Jake Plummer (taken in 2nd). And I don't remember the year, but I think looking at old draft classes, I saw some with no QBs in the 1st. So, Pennington, Bulger and Brady isn't exactly a bad draft class IMO.

You want a bad QB draft class? 2007!

1st: Russell and Quinn
2nd: Kolb, John Beck and Drew Stanton
3rd: Trent Edwards
4th: Isaiah Stanback
5th: Jeff Rowe and Troy Smith
6th: Jordan Palmer
7th: Tyler Thigpen

Only Kolb is a current starter, with 6 back-ups and 3 out of the league! The other was converted to a WR!

The whole class have passed for 111 TDs and 125 INTs!

Also, none of the QBs are still with the team that drafted them!

So from this one draft class this is the net yield after five years:
  • Zero remain on their original team
  • Zero Pro Bowlers
  • Zero MVPs
  • One current starter
  • Three no longer in the league

How can this possibly be correct? According to the draft experts on this site the tally should look something like this:
  • 9-10 on their original team
  • Six Pro Bowlers
  • One MVP
  • Eight starters
  • All 11 still in the NFL

Yep, the Patriots are the only ones that ever miss on a draft pick ...

When this football card first came out, it was more valuable because of the guy on the left side than because of the guy on the right side. I'm sure all of us remember the immortal Giovanni Carmazzi.

Doesn't he now live up a mountain as a farmer? He didn't appear on the Brady 6!

and there's a decent chance he was born between 1994 and 2002.

best QB from the 07 draft? Matt Moore: UDFA.

Kolb would be 1b and Stanton after them, IMO. Thigpen+Quinn+Edwards still up in the air for the next spot.
