[QUOTE=mgteich;2342219]I agree 100%. McNabb isn't worth anywhere near the contract amount. However, this team is the 2nd most valuable team in the nfl, with the highest revenue. Snyder wants results and is willing to spend for it. And, no he isn't willing to risk losing team cash value by risking losing McNabb or by having a coach bench the face of the franchise for a scrub.
The fans should remember that this team was 4-12 last year!
Yes, Snyder went crazy. He made lots and lots of changes since the end of last season. He made good decisions and bad ones. He always seems to do whatever necessary to TRY to win this year. That is NOT the patriot philosophy, but it is the redskin philosophy.
And, this year they are in the hunt for the division. That's pretty good for a MAJOR rebuilding year. Surely, no one thought that the redskins would be competitive this year.
Snyder made a huge TEAM committment when he traded for McNabb. As expected, he has now overpaid for a long-term contract.
The fans should be glad that they have an ownership that want to do all it can to try to win. And they should be glad that they aren't cowboy fans.

MG, you make it sound like Snyder is using his own money out of the goodness of his heart.
I live here. You should know that the "fan experience" since he bought the team involves turning the Redskin fan upside down and shaking vigorously until all money has fallen from the pockets. FedEx is a dehumanizing experience for these people - - it's quite sad and pathetic.
Snyder has bled this franchise and its fans dry like a Somali pirate. There is no discipline, no vision and no real future for the chaos of this organization. They bounce from crisis to crisis - - and it is all played out in the media, not unlike the Childress culture.
Ask a Redskin fan someday how much he/she enjoys the "Snyder Experience". It will open your eyes.
