The agent works for Crabtree, not the other way around. If he wanted to sign for what they offered, he'd fire his agent and sign.

The "my agent won't let me sign" is nothing more than "i'm letting the agent look like the bad guy'

And Crabtree has never assaulted a teammate, so hes not nearly as bad as TO.

Yet

I think he'd be the type of guy who'd turn into whatever you allowed him to. If the 49ers made it a point to not put up with ANY nonsense then I think he'd turn into an ok player, if they let him be the diva I think he'll wind up doing stuff that would make Favre blush.

I hope he sits out this season and because of that the league institutes a rookie salary cap.

Still no contact between niners and Crabtree

To be honest I like the approach from San Fran. It's potentialy a big loss for them as they could end up without a talented rookie and a wasted 1st round pick but they're not budging.

It's always been a pet peeve of mine to see guys who've never produced anything in the NFL act like they're owed something.

Meanwhile, we're hearing that Parker is dealing with the Crabtree conundrum on the recruiting trail by blaming the holdout on the player. Parker, we're told, is pointing to the deal he negotiated for defensive end Tyson Jackson at the third overall slot as proof that Parker is willing and able to negotiate a fair deal for a first-round pick.
So now even Crabtree's agent is throwing him under the bus?! What a tool. You can't tell me this won't come up in the CBA negotiations.

Crabtree knows that SF has no QB to get him the ball, and will probably not live up to his potential so it may be why he's looking for big money now. One thing is for sure, when he does get into that locker room he will be promptly stuffed in it by his teammates.
