Default Moore and Mud return to Colts

Payaton must have been crying a river to get the FO to some how bring his binky (Tom More) and O-line coach H Mud back.

The Official Website of the Indianapolis Colts

INDIANAPOLIS – Two of the Colts' longtime offensive assistants are back.
And notably, they're back in their previous roles.

Tom Moore, the Colts' offensive coordinator from 1998-2008, and Howard Mudd – the offensive line coach during the same span – are back with the team and will perform the same duties, Colts Head Coach Jim Caldwell said Friday. The two retired in May over concerns with the NFL's pension program.....

Personally, I don't think Manning's production would have dropped off because of Moore and Mudd retiring. Saying that is like Pats haters saying that Brady's production will drop off because of McDaniels going to Denver.

I do, hes had the same coordinators since he started. Back in the spring he was complaining about the not having Moore.

Of course he was. They're probably pretty good friends and Manning has been working with him since he's been in the league. That's really no suprise. But, whether you want to admit it or not, Manning is a pretty damn good quarterback. With or without Moore, he would still be pretty damn good.

As much as I would like for the Pats to find an advantage over the Colts, I don't mind these guys returning to the Colts. I didn't like the idea of them being forced in to retirement because of the funding of the pension plan when they could still contribute to the NFL.

It's good they're back. As much as i love when Manning whines at least they can't use the lack of coaching as an excuse for a subpar season

It was the plan all along. It just took a while for them took make sure that everything was legal, tax and pension wise, before they could be officially brought back. Peyton's comments were during the middle of the process while the Colts were trying to figure everything out. The were getting different answers from everyone as to what the guidelines were, nobody knew what to do for sure.
