I've seen a few Panthers games this season and as November wore on, they were beginning to look really good. Last night they looked near unstoppable. Stewart and Foster are probably the best 1-2 RB combo in the NFL this season.

Losing Plax does give them a less scary offense. You can concentrate more on their running game. And sometimes when you start out too strong in the season you can fizzle out. We have seen this with both the Pats and Colts.
However, its just been one game people are going crazy on and the Panthers looked awesome and the Giants had a stinker.
But, both teams are more than capable of winning the NFC. Right now the Panthers are the new flavor even though I picked them to be the Giants biggest challenger in the end.
Only problem for the Panthers is their pass D at times and Delhomme being inconsistent and turning the ball over.
BUT, the Panthers when they have made the playoffs tend to do really well. It's really hard to repeat, which is why I was never sold on the Giants being a given to do it even if they win the NFC.
