Stop your whining.
This level of officiating whine for a non Patriot team? You gotta be kidding me!
There was defensive holding and PI (or very close to it) happening a lot on both sides (among other penalties). This is the SB, they're not going to be calling that. Seriously, call PI/holding on two receivers fighting each other on one of the last and most critical plays of the SB/entire NFL season? Decide it on a flag? Oh yea, that's gonna happen and it would be such a great thing if it did
A Raven player definitely shoved the a ref during the melee. That should have caused a USC flag -- but there was a bunch of USC's that happened during that event. The refs obviously went with the 'both teams guilty, off setting, move on with the game'. Yet I agree that one was flag worthy even for the SB. But that is not why the 9ers lost this game. The 9ers had the ball at the 7 yard line with 4 plays to put it in the endzone on the most critical series of the entire 2012 NFL season....and gained 2 yards (odd play calling there too, IMHO). That is why they lost. CK played less than effective in the first half of the game. That is why they lost. The Raven defense played very well in the first half (that same red zone D that killed us) and played well when they had to in the second half. That is why the 9ers lost. The 9er defense couldn't stop the Ravens with any regularity. That is why they lost. The 9ers made mistakes that stopped drives. That is why they lost. Big games on this stage are often won when one QB steps up and plays his best. Flacco did that and that is why the 9ers lost.
Stop the whining!
Off topic, Patriots don't look quite as bad now. After the AFCCG it was dismaying that the Ravens had given the ball to Flacco and said "win the AFCCG"....and he did. But he really
showed something this post season. Cool as a block of ice. Denver, Patriots, 9ers...3 tough teams to beat and he performed!.... especially when the critical moments came up. Interestingly enough, out of those 3, arguably, his least potent showing was against the Patriots. Unfortunately our O had the poorest showing of those 3. ''''The best friggin offense in the league couldn't score a single point in the second half of the AFCCG...not one single point!''''. There is some worthy whining for ya!
