TBH, I think we're seeing why Perkins was traded. He doesn't appear to be a particularly bright player. He's not rotating on D when it's his job to get out on the perimeter to wide open shooters. His rotation assessment is suspect.

Battier has been immense for Miami.

That was absolutely a foul by LeBron. Shame that everyone will talk about that instead of the D we played on OKC throughout the game, which is the real reason why we won.

Good of you to say so Kontra. That was as blatant a non-call as I've seen for a while. This series will be going to 7.

As a side, the Heat played the paint considerably better tonight than game 1.

Well, also a shame that we didn't get Durant going to the line to possibly tie it, and whatever might have happened from there -- maybe a Heat win, maybe not.

But as already noted, good of you to admit.

I put that situation on DWade and not LeBron. Wade didn't have to advance the ball. He could have let Fisher rape him if he wanted to at that point. Instead, he advanced the ball. Because of that, Durant hit a 3 and the Heat missed at the other end putting LeBron in that position. I think that if you were to ask him, LeBron would tell you that the foul was intentional and that he just didn't get called for it. Such is the way of the NBA, though. We got ass raped in the second half of Game 1, and they got it in Game 2. Now we have three games in Miami with the series tied. So, yes, it was a foul. But I'll take it along with the D we played tonight. See you in Miami for Game 3.

Reporter: "Are you saying that you weren't mugged by LeBron on that last play?"

Durant: "I missed the shot man".

Dude is a class act. Kobe would be up there whining and crying about that play right now.

Not to pick on the guy but I am not terribly impressed with the play of Kendrick Perkins. He's big and strong but he is also way too slow out there. He only played 20 minutes last night and sat the bench because the Thunder needed to play faster. He's a good center but he seems exposed at this level of play.

He worked better with what the Celtics did than what the Thunder do. He's just not a good fit for that team and he looks like a pharaoh.

Durant would make a great New England Patriot. He really knows how to handle the media, and it's all sincere. The guy believes it.

That's why I want him to win so bad.

As for the refs - they were pathetic all night, but I have to admit they blew a lot of calls in the Thunder's favor, too. That's where we're at as NBA fans - settling for consistently awful officiating. But really, I would say they made mistakes on somewhere between 20-40% of all plays last nite. They were terrible, on both ends, towards both teams - and it detracted from an otherwise great game.

As for Perkins - I agree completely. He is not fitting as well with that team. It seems whenever Collison is on the floor, the Thunder make a run. I hope to see more of him out there on Tuesday.

I still think that even though the Thunder are a better, more well-rounded team, the Heat control their destiny here. They were aggressive and they were hitting their shots last night, and it got them a lead that was just too tough to chip away at. The Heat have a formula for success - and if they follow it, unfortunately as far as I'm concerned, it will earn them the title.
