Default Celtics vs Pistons Game 1 Thread

I can't wait for the game to begin. All the talk today was of Ray Allen and the Pierce vs Prince matchup. I'll buy into some of that but this is a series where we can win the boards. We should have done it against the Hawks but they had those young legs ... the Cavs are way huge under the boards. The Pistons don't have a size advantage and the key to the series IMO is to keep Rasheed out of the paint ... McDyss could well be black and blue from Perk and Baby before this is over ... they will destroy him.

My only other concern is Chauncy's health and "Rip" ... shutting Rip down and rebounds are my keys to success in this series. The rebounds we will win ... guarding Rip??? Are Tony Allen or Ray Allen going to be able to do it ... he is fun to watch when not playing us.

I'm here with you. I'm a Knicks fan, so I am cheering for them getting the #1 pick. But I am supporting the Celtics for this year cause I like KG and hope he gets his ring.

Great way to start. 8-0 at the first timeout. Garnett and Pierce both looking good. Ray threw up two pretty bad bricks but he got an assist to Pierce, took a charge and drove to basket for a lay up so hopefully he will be able to get it going.

Dammit he just threw up an air ball. wtf. Yep Ray is ice cold again. At least on his jump shots.

They'll find out Randy can't run consistently anymore. He'll drive [Tom] Brady and [Bill] Belichick crazy. This is just my personal opinion from what I saw: He's losing his legs. He's becoming an old man fast.

Seriously! He just made a nice block too but then the Pistons retained the ball and hit a shot before the buzzer.

Still it has been a good enough start for the first quarter but the Pistons have started to heat up after bad shooting early.

Pierce has been great again. And the Pistons cant miss a free throw. They are going to the line way too much and are hitting everything.

**** again!!! Pierce only hit one. So we have one FT in the half, the Pistons must have 16 at least.

OMG Garnett misses one!!! More than half of the Pistons points are off FTs. And Garnett misses another FT. Jesus christ can they sink two in a row?
