I think the Giants game had more of a pressure feel to it. Afterall an undefeated season was on the line. This is the begining of the playoffs, first game for us and we are playing a team I think we matchup well against. So maybe the calmness comes fron not losing all year.

If the Pats and the Dolts both win THERE WILL be Hype for that game, moare than the Giants contest.imo

I'd say once the Jaguars score which I think will be sometime in the first a few people will claim to be "done with this game" and then come running back once the Pats are winning late.

They'll find out Randy can't run consistently anymore. He'll drive [Tom] Brady and [Bill] Belichick crazy. This is just my personal opinion from what I saw: He's losing his legs. He's becoming an old man fast.

If they win, maybe the AFC conference final might get me feeling more nervous, but yeah weird calmness today.
I inherited your nervousness. You've heard of conservation of energy? This is conservation of nervousness.

When do we get the early game? Answering my own question, on Super Bowl Sunday.

Unfortunately I'm feeling a Jaguars win tonight. Bruschi and Seau can't stop the run and Maurice Drew Jones and Fed Taylor will run all over us. Jags will win the time of possession, keep Brady off the field and once again the Patriots will fail us for the third time in three years.

I'm just going to get it out of the way right now. You know it's going to be said if the Pats go 5 minutes without scoring...

"My God, we SUCK! This is the WORST 16-0 team ever! Cut Maroney! Bench Hobbs! Ben Watson is made of glass! Why are we playing Brady with that bum shoulder instead of Cassel!?"

Done.

Here's to a good game tonight, Gents. Nice, calm weather, mildly warm...if mid 40's to mid 30's is warm to you.

I, like some of you, do not have any jitters at all. Weird, because last week I was up and down all over the place, but this week, not at all. Just have the feeling of nothing to lose. We win, we accomplish something great. We lose....we were meant to lose to the Greatest Team to ever play.

No pressure here.

edit- Just don't get blown out, Jags. Make it a game. GO JAGS!!!

You sir, are a true New Englander. And probably a Red Sox fan.

Charlie Kasserly just said on CBS pre game that the NFL is looking to add a 17th game to the regular season. I can see it already, "Yes, the Pats went undefeated but they did it in just a 16 game season."
