Pats inactives
The following players are inactive for the Patriots today:

S Artrell Hawkins
TE Garrett Mills
OLB Pierre Woods
OL Gene Mruczkowski
OT Nick Kaczur
WR Jonathan Smith
DL Le Kevin Smith
DL Johnathan Sullivan

That means WRs Doug Gabriel and Chad Jackson are active for the first time this season. Also, ILB Tedy Bruschi will suit up.

A few observations from the Patriots' pre-game warmups:

* Keep an eye on safety Rodney Harrison's participation. Second-year safety James Sanders was running with the starters in warmups, in Harrison's place. Harrison isn't inactive, but was probable on the team's injury report with the flu.

* Also, Tedy Bruschi lined up next to Junior Seau at inside linebacker. That moved Mike Vrabel to outside linebacker with Rosevelt Colvin.

For Pete's sake, I have to suffer through the last five minutes of the stupid Baltimore/Oakland game.

Maybe because of the flu he can't be playing on every down.
Perhaps he will be in and out.

Ready for the game. Good luck to the Jets. I hate to write them off after what happened last week.

Well, it's better than "watching" the Pats game on Gamecenter. I know, buy the TV package, but I already hear from my wife "what, you're watching another game today?"
