I didn't really feel anything here in Joliet but a girl
at the shop said her shelves shook. She's about 25 miles south of

We were in SoCal for the Big Bear and Northridge quakes in the early 90s. THAT was scary as hell. Shook the crap out of our home and the most disconcerting thing about it when it's happening is you don't know how bad it's going to get or how long it's going to last. I'll never forget the news reports of the CHP guy on a motorcycle that went off the I5/405 interchange and dropped what must have been 75 feet down to the ground because that interchange collapsed (it hit early morning and was still dark)

I'll take tornados over earthquakes any day of the week. At least those are isolated and over pretty quick.
