Default OT: Memphis (misery loves company)

Record-breaking team. A championship and claim to one of the greatest ever only seconds away, only to be dashed by a prayer. Pats fans, meet your soulmates of Tiger Nation.

I want nothing in common with John Callipari.

Congrats KU!

Nope.

Don't see it.

Undisciplined, horrible coach, easy patsy schedule from a weak league.

They are the antithesis of the Patriots.

Memphis gets by on talent and talent alone--that Rose kid looks like Iverson to me. The Patriots meanwhile are the epitome of teamwork. Calipari as usual has no control over his players in tight spots.

I thought Kansas really showed they were the class of the entire tournament. In fact, unlike the Giants, the J'Hawks were actually favored in this championship.

Calipari? A horrible coach? Come on.

Their wins over Mich State, Texas and UCLA were far from "weak".

That loss was brutal as they essentially gave it away by not fouling prior to the tying 3 pointer. actually made me feel better about the Pats debacle

He looks like one of the 50 greatest players in NBA history? I'm sure he'll be pleased to hear it. Or were you making an ass of yourself by using "he looks like Iverson" as an insult?

Can't speak to the intent of the comparison but I can say I've never seen a worse one. There might not be a basketball player alive that Rose has less in common with than Alan Iverson in every aspect - body, game, demeanor, leadership skills, etc.

Memphis' roll through the regionals was impressive. Their last three wins were great displays of their superior athletic ability over good to great teams. However, Memphis is an AAU all-star team out there. Roll the balls out and let the kids go at it. Very little coaching. Get them into a half court battle on offense, and if they can't go one on one, they are toast.
