Default The Rebuilding of Ground Zero

I know it's a Pats forum but

It's awesome. It's not airliners smashing into buildings and skyscrapers falling.

This is the story of the rebuilding of the WTC site, honoring of the people who died.

It looks like a good program, and will be one of the few that doesn't try to get us to relive that day. I missed it last night, but I'm sure they'll re-air it. Hard to believe it's been ten years...

“On a day when they could have had impact players David Terrell or Koren Robinson..they took Georgia defensive tackle Richard Seymour, who had 1 sacks last season in the pass-happy SEC and is too tall to play tackle at 6-6 and too slow to play defensive end. This genius move was followed by trading out of a spot where they could have gotten the last decent receiver in Robert Ferguson and settled for tackle Matt Light, who will not help any time soon.”

It's going to be quite an emotional day. Football will be the last thing on my mind.

Watched something about it last night on the DC. They incorporated so many things from the original it's amazing. Vehicles, beams, photos. They went the extra mile in terms of design and lighting. the museum itself is actually on ground zero the former basement. So much care went into the respect and feelings of all involved. They even have the bent steel from where the plane impacted the building ... amazing.

The monument itself is so awesome.

I hear ya dude.

I'm not sure how the NFL is going to compete for people's attention.

The monument looks really nice, but still very strange. As someone who frequented NYC for business before 9/11, it still looks unnatural without the towers. I haven't been at that spot in a couple years. For those who haven't yet gone on the tour, it's worth it; done by a 9/11 survivor, who tells you their experience as they show you Ground Zero.

It's going to take some time getting used to it, but when it's completed, the World Trade Center will be gorgeous. We'll never forget those who were lost and that tragic day. But it will show how truly great this country is.

Ahh, but including actual materials from the building is hurtful to the Wiccans and others who are apparently completely offended by the idea because one of them is a cross.

You sure that's appropriate here?
