Default Two arrested for gunpoint theft of Fruit Snacks

Damn if your gonna pull a gun at least steal something of value, not a bag of fruit snacks. And in their own dorm, what dumb asses. These guys could end up in the Big House over a bag of candy, If they do they better PC.

AIC students Randy Quartey and Tykeith Fantroy arrested for alleged gunpoint theft -- of fruit snacks | masslive.com

SPRINGFIELD - Two American International College students are charged with armed robbery after allegedly stealing a pack of Welch’s Fruit Snacks at gunpoint from another student at the college.

Police arrested Randy Quartey, 18, and Tykeith Fantroy, 18, at 3:25 p.m. in the college’s Hines Halls building at 56 Homer St. after they allegedly showed a gun to a student and demanded the fruit snacks, police said.

Springfield used to be the "City of Homes". It's sad to see what it has become.

I think it is because of the Victorian mansions (many of which are now multi-family rentals).

Like Hartford, it's become a "city of homies", I guess. I wouldn't wish Hartford on anyone...maybe you guys could put roadblocks and checkpoints on I-91. It's not like it would slow it down any.

“On a day when they could have had impact players David Terrell or Koren Robinson..they took Georgia defensive tackle Richard Seymour, who had 1 sacks last season in the pass-happy SEC and is too tall to play tackle at 6-6 and too slow to play defensive end. This genius move was followed by trading out of a spot where they could have gotten the last decent receiver in Robert Ferguson and settled for tackle Matt Light, who will not help any time soon.”

I grew up in Springfield and still live near there while I work in Hartford. They are both a mess.

Oh, and traveling on 91 to and from Hartford sucks. Thank God I am in a carpool.

I'm a transplant to the Hartford area. I grew up in Virginia Beach and lived in a bunch of different areas. Hartford (and Connecticut in general) is probably the most dysfunctional place I've ever lived. The northeast in general is an enigma to me sometimes; some great characteristics, but some things that make me want to get the hell out.

That's the truth. I try to avoid going up I-91, but when I do (usually to the airport), I hope and pray I've got someone to go with me. It probably saves 30 minutes.
