Great Guitarist, only 58.

BBC News - Rock guitarist Gary Moore dies

he renowned rock guitarist Gary Moore has died in a hotel room in Spain.

Mr Moore, 58, was originally from Belfast and was a former member of the legendary Irish group Thin Lizzy.

Adam Parsons, who manages Thin Lizzy, told the BBC that Mr Moore had died in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Mr Moore was originally drafted into Thin Lizzy by its singer Phil Lynott. He later gained acclaim for his solo work and was a former member of the Irish group Skid Row.

I wonder if the boys will be back in town for his funeral. If any are doing time I suggest a jailbreak. Just get together and pass around the whiskey in the jar.

I always liked his work. What did he die from? The report doesn't say.

I never knew until now that he was in the band Thin Lizzy, i only know of him as a Blues guitarist, and a great one.

He was a great rock guitarist, one of my favorites. His solo album "Wild Frontier" is excellent, very Thin Lizzy like. I was disappointed when he went blues, there are too many blues guitarists already. I really want to know how he died.

I think there are to many SRV wanna be's, they all have the same sound. Most of the great blues guitarists have died off.

Lets just say GM was a great guitarist period. And i wouldn't be surprised if he died of a Heart Attack, and not one induced by drug consumption.
