Default OT: Samantha Who?

So seriously, your the national program director for ABC. What do you do? This is (normally)a throw away programing Saturday night BUT there is a twist. All of the sudden NBC,CBS have the game you covet and want but don't have. It's a viewership draw no doubt. Even your sister station ESPN has a bowl game. Why fight it right? I guess you take a knee and show multiple episodes of 'Samantha Who' and you personally tune in to watch the game everyone else is watching. Sucks to be you. It really does.

To make sure that absolutely no one watches, they should have a "Silver Spoons" marathon.

Samantha Who is a pretty funny show. I might flip there during commercials

'dude' might be an exaggeration...unless christina applegate shows up as a naked kelly bundy for the duration of the show, it is more similar to nails on a chalkboard than entertainment...

Bite your tongue. The phenomenal Jason Bateman was on that show, making Rick(y) Schroeder look bad.

They're doing the only thing they can: going for the opposite demographic. I'm sure there will be plenty of household arguments between genders over what gets watched tonight.

It's Pats/Jints vs. everything else. I'll bet that the college bowl game has similar ratings to Samantha Whatnow?

I think the ABC had to kneel becuase the sister station ESPN is showing the Alamo Bowl and they need all the help they can get for viewers.

Besides,NBC needs help bad. SNF aint workin :

Sunday Night Football on pace for record low.
For the fifth time in six weeks, NBC Sunday Night Football failed to draw a double-digit rating.

Last Sunday night's Washington/Minnesota Vikings game drew an 8.7/16, the third lowest Sunday Night Football rating of the season. The 8.7 rating makes the game the ninth SNF telecast this season to draw a rating less than 10.0; last year, six games drew less than a 10.0 rating. So far this season, SNF is barely averaging a 10.0 rating (9.98 to be exact), down 11% from an 11.2 average through 16 games last year.

NBC is almost assured to draw the lowest average ever for an NFL primetime package; unless Titans/Colts on Sunday night draws a 23.8 rating or higher, NBC will fail to match the current record low -- a 10.8 average for Monday Night Football in 2005.

2007 Sunday Night Football ratings.

11.2: Bears/Packers (Sun., Oct. 7, 8:15 PM); up 17% from '06.

Well, at least the viewing public has some taste.
