Default Sugar Gliders a.k.a. pocket pets

I was at the mall yesterday and saw a line of people waiting to check out a "pocket pet" as the sign described them. This was not a pet store. They were just selling these creatures from a kiosk. I see a lot of abuse coming for these poor things as people buy them for small kids as toys. Or adults who buy them on a whim and just get tired f them like one of those little rc helicopters. I have to say I was disgusted by the whole thing.

Where do you put the batteries?

Oh and edit. With a name like "sugar glider" they better keep them away from Richard Gere...

Just sayin.

Sounds like an illicit operation. Report it to the local SPCA if you can. They need grub worms and tree sap, which I doubt many "owners" would bother to supply them with. Sad and pathetic.

Has anyone given any thought about the "Pocket Pet" Jumping out of your pocket sounds like a scam.

A friend's stepsister has a couple. They're pretty cool, and are being well-taken care of by what is basically a pretty irresponsible girl.

Except, of course, for the time a cat ate one ...
