We talked about this article in the politics forum... I just don't get why Superman is seen as a gay icon... he is married in the comics and has a kid in the movies...

If any superhero is gay, we're talking Batman... he dresses in black leather, took a teen age orphaned boy named Dick to be his special "friend" and they live together with an older English gentleman... no real girlfriend to speak of...

Hell, the character Aunt Harriet (most prominently known from that 60's Batman TV show) was invented for the single reason of making Bruce and Dick seem less like homosexuals (that's a true statement). And then about 40 years later those same 2 actors played a gay couple on an episode of Drew Carey...

Ever see that Saturday Night Live skit where two high school age boys were talking about how great it would be to see two lesbians making out so 2 lesbians magically poof into existence but it is not exactly the lipstick lesbians they were hoping for but, rather, lesbians more representative of what they are like in real life..?
