SPOILER WARNING:
A few interesting revelations there: Moore only decided that these would be the final 4 this season... so he didn't go into the project with a clear storyline in mind. ... though it is interesting that the Chief had that issue with thinking he was a Cylon back in previous episodes It's inferred that Starbuck is not the 5th cylon... I didn't think she necessarilly was - and other Ron Moore interviews suggest that she's not as well and says that the identity of her father has nothing to do with her desting (i.e. she's not a cylon half breed) That Hera isn't necessarilly the first cylon half breed etc.. but that none of the Final 4 are halfbreeds either

Interesting - another article here that says that Moore chose "Watchtower" for a specific reason and offers a theory as to why, which supports my contention that when they eventually find earth it will be an earth of our future. Another thing worth noting, in addition to the fact that earth is obviously in the same galaxy (given the closing montage) there's a planet or two in the nebula that they are in... just another thing worth noting

This inept series ploting is why I've lost the flag for this initially so promising a series. The writers started out with great, creative concepts, Starbuck as a female, the Six in Baltar's head, humanoid Spylons, etc. Did a good job casting. Made for great TV. But then those slackers sat on their fat behinds and did not THINK any of these issues through. A well done book or TV series has continuity, BSG just pulls "neat" 'let's just surprise them!' ideas of the week outa their butts without doing the homework, considering the angles. So folks watching trying to figure out the series 'rules' for spylons and their behaviour are totally blown away since the creators had none, and don't mind violating what appeared to be the rules of the game. I don't think I'ver ever been as disappointed by the writers as with this show.

His refusal to answer the 1st half-breed question hints strongly that Admiral Adama is a spylon and that his son is the 1st half-breed.

Some other interesting thoughts I've come across... among them.. an inferred Cylon/Earth origination connection based upon the fact that they Cylons, and by and large those on Earth, are monotheistic...
...whereas the BSG humans have many gods... obviously if that's a significant point - and you have to assume it is, as the Cylons religion has been a big part of BSG - that's been something in the works since the beginning of the series, suggesting Moore had a general endgame at the start. My take is tht all the Final Four models have been around for centuries, going back to Old Earth, and we'll find that they are the "grandparents" or original manufacturers of the Cylons then and more recently as well Everything that's happened before will happen again, right? Food for thought
