Default Favorite Christmas/Holiday Movie?

Just wondering what everyone's favorite Christmas/holiday movie is?

My all time favorite is "A Christmas Story".

Although a very close 2nd is the ridiculous "A Very Brady Christmas", the one where the kids are all grown up and they return home to spend Christmas with Mike and Carol. Good stuff

A Christmas Story I bought on Laser Disc a long time ago. Pre DVD days. It's A Wonderful Life is another one I've see so many times I can recite it line for line. But, I will watch at least a little of it when it airs. I've always loved all the Christmas Carol / Scrooge movies. I watch them all even the musical version. Thank you very much, Thank you very much.... And I hate musicals .

"Scrooged" with Bill Murray was pretty good.

Christmas Vacation. Doesn't that remind you of every family holiday you've ever seen. Still cracks me up.

A Christmas Story is second. Nuthin better than an Authentic Red Ryder Carbine BB gun, with a compass in the stock, and a thing that tells time! Got mine when I was 10.

So why does this thread get stickied and not some of the others? Just asking ...

Edit: Of course it would be pointless to sticky a thread about nothing, wouldn't it?

Ahhh yes! How did I forget that one. I watch it every year. I love all the Vaca movies. "It's a non-nutritive varnish. It coats and seals the flake."

"Put it in layman's terms, Greaseball."

Christmas Vacation:

I think the best bit is the greased up saucer, I laugh just thinking about. Can't forget uncle Eddie and his dog Snotts.

Mike, when you speak about nothing you should have more reverance.

I'm a sucker for holiday movies, 'Comfort & Joy' and the 1938 version of 'A Christmas Carol' being among my favorites. I can only think of a handful of really bad X-mas movies: 'Jingle All the Way,' 'Ernest Saves Christmas' and the delightful 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas' with Jim Carrey.

Christmas Vacation is still my favorite followed closely by A Christmas Story.

"$hitter's full" still cracks me up every time I hear it.
