Shocking news. He was very likable. I wonder if he got out one final "Crikey!" before passing ...

You know, I was just remembering his commercial for ESPN where he wrestles down the Florida Gators mascot. It was by far my favorite ESPN commercial and never failed to crack me up.

I wonder if they'll ever show it again?

It was on Youtube this morning. The link's busted, or maxed out more likely right now.

Didn't watch the show but I really loved the guy. Bummer.
My condolences to his young family for losing a husband and father.
And this world just lost a few reputation points.

how ironic. making fun of a dead person and what may be happening to him now. And from our resident "protector of the children" and Mr Sensitive, PFIV.
I guess this means everything he says about Judaism is hogwash? After all, me being such a "monster" totally disproves the diety of Jesus Christ according to him, right?

like I said, we are all hypocrites and sinners.

that doesnt change the the love that Jesus Christ has for us.

For the record, PFiV isn't going out and "showing people the light" and proselytizing to others that he "knows the way". You are.

PFiV acknowledges his imperfections and realizes that is what makes him Un-credible to proselytize to others......would that YOU come to the same knowledge.

That being said, I wish you luck with your nervous breakdown.

Is that separate from the 'backing off' he talked about in another thread?

I hadn't posted on Steve Irwin yet, then I read your post. I enjoyed his show, tho after awhile it got a little routine (if risking your life on every show can be routine). He was a compassionate individual who devoted his life to nature and its habitat, promoting and fighting for its causes. I admired his fortitude and his presence usually put a smile on my face. Last night on John Stewart a comedian (name eludes me) was joking about his death. He was freakin' funny. Was it mean spirited, taking anything away from the Crock? No, and neither did the post that you pointed out. "Honestly" you were trying to pick a fight. How's that work for someone who spouts Christianity?

There's a joke doing the rounds in the UK. I will tell it and then mangle it, by explaining it: "Steve Irwin said that his favourite show as a kid was Thunderbirds. He said that he had a special place in his heart for Stingray".

Stingray was a vehicle used in a 60s puppet show created by Gerry Anderson.
