Tomorrow i will be to the Super Bowl - New England Patriots Forums

i think tomorrow evening i will go to Scandiano (Reggio Emilia) to see the XXVI Super Bowl between Panthers Parma and Lions Bergamo.

game will start at h 21

Lions are the champions since 1998 but this year they have lost allready two games against Giants Bolzano

their qb is called Feterik (he was in a roster in a NFL team and CFL team too)
the Parma qb is Souza (i think he playied too in CFL)

i will dress of course a New England Patriots t shirt !

i will leave approx h.15...it is a hard July - very hot

i will go with a friend of mine (GB fan, he is a Cheesehead)

he will dress a GB shirt and i will dress a 'New England Patriots' shirt with Pat Patriot logo (it is a beautiful shirt imo)

i decided for it instead for another beautiful shirt i have (Boston Patriots throwback)

traffic permitting (many people are going in south direction for holidays this week-end) i will arrive approx h 18.

game is between Lions Bergamo and Panthers Parma

the love for the Patriots started beginning '80.
i saw i think a 'NFL week in review' now called 'NFL game day' and i saw a team with wonderful uniforms and a beautiful logo and a nice name: The New England Patriots ! at that times we were not a good team but i started to love them.

it was Pat Patriot the reason n.1.

i started so when Grogan and then Eason were our qb.

but it was very tough to see the NFL here in Italy and pratically i never saw the Patriots play

the first Super Bowl ever showed in Italy (alive) was approx 25 years ago when OAK playied against PHI (the share was outstanding with a lot of suprise).

the next morning at scholl everybody talked about that 'strange sport' but many students in Italy started to appreaciate it from that day.

on our 1985 run i followed it buying newspapers and giving a ring to ask the results (...)

i saw on tv our loss (bad one...for me it was a terrible day) against CHI.
i was crashed...

then for a period i did not followed the NFL a lot for several reasons.

i started again to follows strongly the NFL starting our season we went to the play-offs (loosing at CLE) and from that moment i followed it with the 'old' passion fron the eighties...

finally NFL arrived in Italy via a pay tv and we saw the games and i started to met some friends i have in NE area and finally i was able also, thks to them, to come to US and see at Gillette two games last season.

this is, shortly, my passion for the Pats.

i really would like to love in US to see them more and more

Lions won 24-12 against Panthers

the game was allready decided when Bergamo was leaving 24-0

i met another Patriot fan (from Turin) approx 50 years old (he was a strong fan like i am)

this year he told me he will see Bengals-Patriots

he had a #11 Drew Bledsoe jersey that NE used 10 years ago

he is a fan (like me) since more then 20 years
we talked really a lot together ! it was very very nice

i saw 3-4 GB fan, a family with MIN colours, some MIA t shirts, 1 TEN jersey,
a couple of SF jerseys, 1 HOU jersey as i remember
+ of course some more

now Bergamo reached 10 championship !

i arrived home at 03,00 a.m.
